How To Use This Cheat Sheet
The picks are broken up into two categories, cash game and tournament picks. Cash Game picks are our preferred picks for Head to Head and Double Up (50/50) contest types. These picks can also be used in Tournaments. The highlighted players are our favorite picks among the players we view as cash viable. Our Tournament picks are players we view as having the high upside it takes to win a tournament, but too risky or overpriced for Cash Games.
In the near future we will be pairing our cheat sheets with an alert system to adjust our player selections as new information becomes available. This will allow us to keep you up to date with any changes we make to our player selections as confirmed lineups become available, weather changes, and Vegas lines move. As this system is not in place yet, it is your responsibility to keep up to date with any new information that becomes available. These cheat sheets were created early in the day to allow you as much time as possible to make your lineups, but this means the lineups and batting order used while making these picks were projected. Make sure your players are in the confirmed lineup! We also recommend sticking to players batting in the 1-4 (or 1-5) spots of the batting order, particularly in Cash Games, for reasons outlined here.
Cash Game Lineup Building Notes
Today’s slate is a small one and often on these slates appealing player options are limited. This is very much the case today, but we feel we’ve sorted through dirt to find the best available options on this weak slate.
At the time of writing this, there’s no weather concerns for this slate’s games!
As mentioned above, a lot of positions today are pretty weak. This even includes the pitching. All three pitchers we’ve selected as cash game options rank very closely together. It’s very reasonable to diversify your pitching if playing multiple lineups today.
J.T. Realmuto and Brian McCann stand out as individual values for their teams and you could play Francisco Cervelli if you want more exposure to the Pirates team who has the 2nd highest implied run total of the slate.
We’re set on playing Edwin Encarnacion at first base.
Shortstop is exceptionally shallow today and we’re focusing in on Starlin Castro. We’re hoping he’s batting near the top of the order, but even if he’s hitting 6th we may still side with him at such a weak position.
Third Base is one of the most stacked positions on the slate. We’re fine with any of the 3 highlighted options and you can let the rest of your lineup make the decision for you if you’d like.
Andrew McCutchen and Bryce Harper are our big bat outfield targets, while Ben Revere is the best source of salary relief.
