2016 DraftKings Fantasy Basketball World Championship Recap

While most basketball fans are focused on March Madness, 100 Daily Fantasy Players had a chance to take down a One Million Dollar first prize in the NBA tonight.  After months of qualifiers, it was time for the 100 players who made the cut to face off in San Diego, California in DraftKings Fantasy Basketball World Championship.  The contest featured a 7 games slate, excluding the last game of the night between the Lakers and the Suns.

DraftKings fantasy player ‘pwnasaurus’ bested the 100 person field with a score of 310 DraftKings Fantasy Points, separating himself from second place play ‘underjones’ by 8.5 points.  He got huge contributions from Patrick Beverley, James Harden, Dirk Nowitzki, and C.J. McCollum to separate himself from the competition and win a cool $1,000,000.  ‘aejones’ who won Draftkings Football World Championship for $5,000,000 earlier this year tied with ‘bkbohn21’ for third place, to round out the top three places.
